YB-KDN-200 Kjeldahl Nitrogen Analyzer

YBOTECH YB-KDN-200 Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer is a nitrogen element analysis system developed on the basis of the classic Kjeldahl nitrogen method with automatic distillation and color method to determine the end point. Its method complies with domestic and international standards

Description

The Kjeldahl method is a classic method for the determination of nitrogen. At present, the Kjeldahl method is generally used to measure soil, food, agricultural products, feed and other nitrogen-containing compounds. When using this method to measure samples, it needs to go through three processes: sample digestion-distillation separation-titration analysis.

How it works?

Distillation and titration analysis can be performed after the sample is digested and cooled to room temperature. The principle of the process is as follows: (NH4) 2 SO 4 +2NaOH = Na 2 SO 4 +2H 2 O+2NH 3

That is, under alkaline conditions, the effective sample “ammonia” is separated by high-temperature steam collected in a titration cup containing boric acid absorption solution → titrated with an acidic titrant and analyzed to obtain the results.
